Community Care Programs

THE OPEN DOOR CLINIC

The Open Door Clinic, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides basic health care services and a connection to community resources to Chippewa County residents who are without a health care alternative. 

 

  • Provide basic health care services to uninsured.
  • Provide basic lab testing.
  • Provide basic pharmaceutical services.
  • Assist patients with prescription program applications.
  • Remain aware of and leverage area resources to maximize our impact within the community.
  • Provide a challenging, rewarding, and supportive environment for volunteers.


FHC – Family Health Center
(through Marshfield Clinic)

A federally funded program designed to provide preventive and primary health care to persons or families with limited income resources. Provides a variety of services for those who are eligible and qualify. Must have income less than 200%FPL. Benefits cover outpatient services (including outpatient surgery and medications) but not hospitalization. There is sometimes a waiting list. Monthly premium $20 to $70 based on income.

Patient Assistance Counselors work with patients to enroll them into Marshfield’s Charity care or other programs. The Charity Care Program generally requires people to have incomes less than 200% FPL and limited assets.

Can provide fluoride supplements to children ages 6 months to 16 years who do not have enough fluoride in drinking water.
